Pheromones for Women:  Do Pheromones for Women Really Work?

Do Pheromones for Women actually work? Are you wondering if there are really pheromones for women out there that will help women to attract men? Well, the answers you seek may surprise you! However, the answers may not be those that you expect, so bare with me!

Back in December of 2007, I out of curiosity I decided to attempt to review various human pheromone colognes, admittedly, not believing that they were capable of doing much of anything. I was new to the world of human pheromone colognes and perfumes. I began my journey into this unchartered territory by conducting quite exaustive levels of online research into pheromones. Only to be profoundly disappointed by some of the conflicting information I unearthed.

As of December of 2007, the few available clinical studies that explored the affects of human pheromones upon human were at best, conflicted. The simple reason for this was that science in this field had not caught up to our current level of technology I believe. There was much theory available, but very little in the way of hard scientific proof determining whether pheromones played a roll in attracting the opposite sex or not, in humans at least.

I was very quickly able to deduce from my own research that science essentially had only two predominant schools of thought concerning pheromones and their affects upon humans.

1st School of Thought:

“They really don’t know! Insufficient clinical studies on humans were available.”

2nd School of Thought:

“Pheromones do in fact do ‘something,’ to some people, but they really don’t know to what extent, or why some people seem to respond to them and others do not.”

Being the inquisitive type of person that I am, needless to say I was not satisfied with either of the two rather conflictory theories regarding human pheromones, my question was just not satisfactorily answered.

I decided that the only way to get my question answered regarding pheromones, was to simply conduct my own testing. In short, I used the old reliable fall back method, and utilized the empirical method of scientific evaluation. Quite simply, the ‘empirical method’ is;

“depending upon experience or observation alone, without using scientific method or theory, esp. as in medicine.”

What I did is not rocket science, nor am I a scientist or medical professional by any stretch of the imagination. Simply put in lay persons terms, I bought this pheromone stuff, I applied the pheromones to my person, and then interacted with people in the real world, while carefully observing and documenting others reactions, or lack of reactions from those around me. It sounded like a no brainer to me at the time, use the stuff and just see what, if anything, that it does!

From January 2008 to January 2009 my little hobby has allowed me buy, field test, and document results of nearly 70 pheromone colognes and perfumes, and counting! The results were rather interesting.

Giving credit where credit is due, as I only personally field tested pheromones for men, at the urging of my girlfriend she participated and conducted the majority of the field tests with the pheromones for women, along with a friend of hers. Therefore, the posts that follow will be the documentation of her field test results primarily.

I am also allowing my girlfriend Liz to publish the field test results, for reasons of objectivity. I, as a man, was exposed to her while she applied numerous pheromones for women, as a man, I know full well what effects came over me on a number of occasions, so needless to say, it would be rather difficult for me to remain objective and unbiased and simply recount the field test results.

The posts to be published shall start with the most effective pheromones for women and work there way down to the least effective. However, in the interest of full disclosure, although we found that certain pheromones for women did in fact work, we found that many, many more simply did not. We will cover those that did not work as well, after we cover the 20 pheromones for women that did seem to generate a “response.”

The Scent of Eros for Women stands out among the rest of pheromones for women, and has done so for some time. The Scent of Eros for Women is a trusted oldie, which has more than stood the test of time and proven it’s rather brutal effectiveness time and time again, few pheromones for women have been able to perform as well, or as consistently as the Scent of Eros for Women.

Developed in collaboration with James V. Kohl, the well known author, researcher and pheromone expert, the Scent of Eros for Women emerged as an easy pick in determining the true Cadillac of pheromones for women.

Ironically, the Scent of Eros for Women is so effective it has even been shown to out perform it’s male counter part, the Scent of Eros for Men! This is a rather rare occurrence with pheromones for women, as quite frankly much more effort has generally been put forth in developing male pheromone product lines, therefore there are simply less highly effective pheromone products available for women period.

The Scent of Eros for Women is a very pleasant smelling, oil based, pheromone perfume like product, which is well balanced and designed to both help a women attract male attention, but not exclusively, as well as enhance a women’s “sexual attraction and appeal” as perceived by males exclusively. This pheromone perfume accomplishes these objectives primarily with the inclusion of two well researched and proven human pheromones, Androstenol and Copulins.

In pure laypersons terms of course, Androstenol is a human pheromone which has been shown to induce the following from males or females exposed to it;

“Androstenol is a human pheromone which pheromone enthusiasts have come to refer to as a social pheromone. The effects of being exposed to Androstenol signal the following; an sense of youth and vigor, friendliness, comfort, relaxation, and chattiness…Those exposed to Androstenol would be more likely to become friendly and relaxed, and would feel more at ease to engage in prolonged conversation during the period of exposure, ie.,. a social pheromone…great for “breaking the ice,” and freely getting conversations going, especially with strangers.”

Therefore, once the Scent of Eros for Women is applied by the wearer,  those inhaling this perfume like odor will typically be induced to feel considerably more friendly, relaxed, chatty, and overall much more comfortable engaging the wearer in prolonged conversation. Androstenol is general known as a “Social Lubricator” type of pheromone, as it facilitates better social reactions and responses from others, men and women included.

However, the next component included in the Scent of Eros for Women is unique to women only and specifically affects males solely, this is the feminine human pheromone known as Copulins. Copulins are the second powerful and driving force behind this pheromone’s effectiveness;

“Copulins are exclusively a female group of  pheromones. They are secreted into the vagina at optimum ratios during ovulation with the aim of encouraging men to desire to copulate…This group of pheromones primarily consists of fatty acids that would serve little to no function on there own, but in combination they have been shown to increase testosterone levels in men by 150%…This increase in testosterone may cause feelings of arousal in men, if a woman is present…It is said that once a man smells Copulins on a woman she is deemed to be more attractive.”

The inclusion of Copulins in the Scent of Eros for Women, as well as in some other more effective pheromones for women, is no accident. When well balanced, as in this case, typically the exposure to Androstenol will draw males and females to the wearer, making them both much more chatty, friendly, calm, and relaxed, and then after approximately 10-15 minutes of exposure the Copulins will kick in signalling (all on a unconscious level of course) inducing enhanced levels of “sexual attraction” towards the wearer, leading a majority of men to view the wearer as being much more attractive than he might normally have viewed her.

The one-two-punch included in the Scent of Eros for Women, Androstenol and Copulins, is in part what makes this pheromone perfume so effective. Once one understands the power and influence of these to human pheromones, and how effectively they can work in concert, I think it should be quite clear to understand why the wearer of the Scent of Eros for Women will enjoy a considerable advantage in her interaction with both males and females, albeit, only with males so far as inducing pure “sexual attraction” is concerned.

The Scent of Eros for Women is a strong “Social Lubricator” type of pheromone perfume with non overt, but strong “sexual attraction” based element. In other words, it is subtle enough to be worn for nearly any occasion without being deemed “inappropriate,” and has very little risk of causing over dose in the event too much is applied, making it the perfect pheromone perfume for inexperienced pheromone users looking to get the most bang for their buck with a low risk of any negative results do to mis dosage.

In total I conducted 10 field tests with the Scent of Eros for Women, and was more than pleased with the results. The Scent of Eros remains a must have pheromone, and still is one of three that I have come to use personally even after my testing had been concluded. It is clearly, the Cadillac among pheromones for women.

Pheromax for Women is another impressive perfume which has stood the unforgiving test of time, clearly standing out among other pheromones for women. Pheromax for Women is very potent, but at the same time is very well balanced in its mixture. So far as pheromones for women are concerned, this German made product has shown itself as being more than able to hold its own.

Pheromax for Women is powered in large part by two primary pheromone compounds, containing 3 Mg’s of Copulins and 2 Mg’s of Androstenol. It’s important to note that Pheromax is an unsecented pheromone for women, therefore it will require the use of a cover scent. The basic pheromone compounds contained in Pheromax are quite similar to that of The Scent of Eros for Women, however unlike the Scent of Eros, Pheromax does not have the latters very pleasant smell.

The ratio of Copulins contained in Pheromax seems to very well suited to specifically induce a very mild but unmistakable feeling of sexual attraction from Males exclusively, Copulins being the pheromone compound which;

“Copulins are exclusively a female group of  pheromones. They are secreted into the vagina at optimum ratios during ovulation with the aim of encouraging men to desire to copulate…This group of pheromones primarily consists of fatty acids that would serve little to no function on there own, but in combination they have been shown to increase testosterone levels in men by 150%…This increase in testosterone may cause feelings of arousal in men, if a woman is present…It is said that once a man smells Copulins on a woman she is deemed to be more attractive.”

The ratio of Copulins to Androstenol in this mix will tip the balance very “slightly” in favor of receiving “sexually orientated” attention from males, much like the Scent of Eros for Women, but due to lower levels of Androstenol in Pheromax, 2 Mg’s compared to the Scent of Eros for Women’s 5 Mg’s, Pheromax is slightly less of a “social lubricator” as some other pheromones for women, and this point is important to note as Androstenol is responsible for the following;

“Androstenol is a human pheromone which pheromone enthusiasts have come to refer to as a social pheromone. The effects of being exposed to Androstenol signal the following; an sense of youth and vigor, friendliness, comfort, relaxation, and chattiness…Those exposed to Androstenol would be more likely to become friendly and relaxed, and would feel more at ease to engage in prolonged conversation during the period of exposure, ie.,. a social pheromone…great for “breaking the ice,” and freely getting conversations going, especially with strangers.”

The ratio of Copulins to Androstenol contained in this mixture is very good, and well balanced, with minimal chances of generating negative responses from others, unless worn in excessive doses, it’s good to know that the balance of this mixture is tipped towards generating a mild “sexual attraction” vibe versus a pure “social” vibe.

Typically, I found the wearing Pheromax by itself is very effective, however if a wearer is simply looking to generate much more “aggressive” male responses, for whatever reason, than wearing Pheromax along with the Scent of Eros for Women, or Primal Instinct for Women, will lead to the pheromone perfumes greatly complimenting each other, enhancing the overall “sexual attraction” effect if worn with the Scent of Eros for Women, or enhancing the “social lubricator” effect if worn with Primal Instinct for Women. Of course, if worn with all three the results can be blatantly aggressive and obscene, but using all three at once is not really necessary, just fun!

However, even when Pheromax for Women is used by itself, after conducting 7 fairly good field tests with it, I found it is still very good at inducing exposed males to simply become more calm, relaxed, friendly, and much more chatty then normal, all while the Copulins are inducing increased levels of pure sexual attraction, this mixture demonstrated itself to be quite powerful, increasing in effectiveness proportionately with prolonged exposure.

Primal Instinct Unscented for Women, another well established and tested oldie, is my clear and obvious pick to make it into the Top 3 pick of most effective pheromones for women. Primal Instinct Unscented for Women is a very interesting and blatantly effective pheromone perfume, whose powerful results could simply not be ignored.

Primal Instinct Unscented for Women, or simply Primal Instinct, is one of perhaps only two pheromones for women which finds itself in the odd position of being able to outperform it’s male counterpart in overall effectiveness. That’s correct, Primal Instinct for Women is much more powerful than Primal Instinct for Men! This is notable because it is simply not the norm.

Primal Instinct, like its male counterpart is also an oil based pheromone perfume, with a rather soft and unoffensive smell to it, however it most certainly does require the use of an effective cover scent, personally I use the Scent of Eros for Women for this purpose, but other non-pheromone perfumes can of course be used in its place.

At this point you may wonder what the difference is between Primal Instinct for Women and the Scent of Eros for Women, as well as Pheromax for Women, well, it’s the Androstenol level that is most significant! Primal Instinct for Women comes with an aggressively high concentration of the very safe to use human pheromone Androstenol, with a whopping 11 Mg’s concentrated in each bottle! This is a good deal of Androstenol, compared to the Scent of Eros for Women’s 5 Mg’s, and Pheromax for Women’s low level at 2 Mg’s of Androstenol, all with various levels of Copulins thrown into the mix!

To rehash, understand what Androstenol is, and why it’s so important within Primal Instinct for Women’s over all mixture.

“Androstenol is a human pheromone which pheromone enthusiasts have come to refer to as a social pheromone. The rather obscenely high level of Androstenol contained in Primal Instinct for Women, makes it a powerful choice to use a very effective “social lubricator,” among all the current pheromones for women. Since Androstenol is so important in aiding the wearer in getting “attention,” and effects Males as well as Females, already Primal Instinct for Women bills itself perfectly to be used in social settings, inducing a man to approach, become much more talkative, and perhaps even talk your ear off!

The next major component powering the effectiveness behind Primal Instinct for Women, and the addition of female Copulins. Copulins are very important in inducing feelings of “sexual attraction,” and “sexual frustration,” but only affect Males, unlike Androstenol.

“Copulins are exclusively a female group of  pheromones. They are secreted into the vagina at optimum ratios during ovulation with the aim of encouraging men to desire to copulate…This group of pheromones primarily consists of fatty acids that would serve little to no function on there own, but in combination they have been shown to increase testosterone levels in men by 150%…This increase in testosterone may cause feelings of arousal in men, if a woman is present…It is said that once a man smells Copulins on a woman she is deemed to be more attractive.”

The well balanced and properly dosed mixture of Androstenol and Copulins is in very large part what makes Primal Instinct for Women so darn effective when used appropriately. I’m quite sure one can easily use their imagination to quickly see the advantages a wearer would have while conversing with a male, who happens to be responding to first the calming effects of Androstenol, followed by the “sexual frustration” inducing effects of the Copulins! It’s not rocket science to see how this could provide a women with a little advantage.

It must be noted however, that although Primal Instinct for Women is perhaps one the most effective “social lubricators” among pheromones for women, it is most effective as that, a “social lubricator.” Yes, the presence of Copulins does tend to induce a substantial “sexual attraction” vibe from males, but not to same degree as the “social” vibe is produced. Therefore, Primal Instinct for Women primarily tends to excel when used to “break the ice,” so to speak, and to induce males to become much more calm, relaxed, chatty and friendly towards the wearer.

If a women wishes to add a much stronger “sexual attraction,” or “sexual frustration” vibe into the mix, then the weapons of choice would be Pheromax for Women or Essence of A Women to be used alongside Primal Instinct for Women. Although, this is simply not necessary unless one is looking clearly over the top and blatant “sexual generated” reactions from males. In other words, if your not concerned about sexual frustrating the heck out of some poor guy, then Primal Instinct for Women works very well by itself, along with a cover scent of course.

In total, I conducted 11 initial field tests of Primal Instinct Unscented for Women, and will say that nearly all the tests were quite obvious, and successful. Among pheromones for women, Primal Instinct is very difficult to over dose on, so there is little danger in applying too much and receiving any sort of negative reactions.

The use of 2 or at most 3 generous dabs to the neck of Primal Instinct for Women showed itself to be more than sufficient in producing rather strong reactions from males, weighted more heavily on the social side of course, but the a hint of underlying sexual tension being clearly observable as well.

Essence of A Women is a very potent Copulin based pheromone perfume like product, whose sole purpose is to greatly induce and enhance male levels of “sexual arosal,” and “sexual frustration.” Although Essence of A Women is not a multi purpose pheromone perfume like product, it has proven itself “extremely” effective at accomplishing what it was specifically designed to do, making it a no brainer for the number 4 slot among the top 10 pheromones for women reviewed.

To be clear, Essence of A Women is not a pheromone perfume, technically it is a pheromone additive, specifically designed to be mixed with either another pheromone perfume, or to be used to “spike” a regular perfume thus giving it mildly strong pheromonal qualities. However, Essence of A Women is also versatile enough to be used sparingly by itself without the need for mixing at all, typically one can get away with applying 1 to 2 dabs to the neck when used in this fashion.

To understand what exactly Essence of A Women is, and what it should be used for, one must understand what it’s specific pheromone compound, known as Copulins, is responsible for induce from others.

“Copulins are exclusively a female group of  pheromones. They are secreted into the vagina at optimum ratios during ovulation with the aim of encouraging men to desire to copulate…This group of pheromones primarily consists of fatty acids that would serve little to no function on there own, but in combination they have been shown to increase testosterone levels in men by 150%…This increase in testosterone may cause feelings of arousal in men, if a woman is present…It is said that once a man smells Copulins on a woman she is deemed to be more attractive.”

Essence of A Women is a pheromonal scalpel as opposed to a blunt sword. Containing a whopping 10 Mg’s of pure human Copulins essentially makes this stuff good at primarily one thing, and one thing only, increasing male levels of “sexual frustration and attraction.” As previously mentioned, it is not a multi purpose pheromone perfume, it is best used to accomplish this one specific goal.

Let me be clear about this, the detectable smell of Copulins is simply not what I would call pleasant, therefore use of Essence of A Women really should be in conjunction with a cover scent, either by applying another scent pheromone perfume, or your favorite regular perfume over the dried application of Essence of A Women. When you smell Copulins for the first time you will most likely know what I’m talking about, it needs to be covered, this stuff is used for its effectiveness, not for its pleasant smell.

Although Essence of A Women is probably one of the strongest, potent, and most effective pure Copulin based “sexual attractants,” it can only be used effectively in certain settings. This stuff is not a “social” type of pheromone perfume, it is not aappropriate to wear Essence of A Women in all settings.

What I mean by appropriateness is simple, wearing a Copulin ladened perfume at Church for instance, while signalling to all men within perhaps a 15 foot radius that you are basically “in heat,” and “ready for sex,” resulting in a male increase in testosterone by 150% could really get you some weird looks in that particular setting! Not all occasions are correct for the use of Copulin products.

However, the same use of a heavy Copulin product at a night club for instance, would not only get you increased levels of sexual attention, and attraction from males around you, it would also in this setting be deemed to be aappropriate for the occasion, hope this makes sense?

So long as the wearer properly doses Essence of A Women, starting slowly of course as less is more when dealing with this potent stuff, one can expect some very pleasant “sexually charged” reactions from males.

So far as utilizing Essence of A Women with other pheromone perfume, I’ve personally found that wearing it along with Primal Instinct for Women is a truly powerful combo for me at least. By doing such you are not only able to take advantage of the high concentration of Copulins contained in Essence of A Women, but you are also able to reap the benefits of a very powerful Androstenol based “social pheromone perfume” as well, resulting in higher levels of friendly, chatty, relaxed, but sexually charged interactions from males as well.

Alter Ego for Women is my clear and rather obvious pick for our number 5 ranking among most effective quality pheromones for women. This rather unique and well balanced pheromone perfume as been around for a while, and has clearly stood up to the rigors of many women’s testing over time. Best of all, Alter Ego for Women has proven itself to be a great pheromone perfume for nearly any occasion, and is perfect for daily wear. In short, Alter Ego for Women is a well balanced, effective, “general multi purpose” pheromone perfume.

What Alter Ego for Women seems to excel at doing, is creating a more subtle aura about the wearer of “comfort, friendliness, relaxation, chattiness, sexual attraction, and a hint of Alpha Femaleness.” This oil based pheromone fragrance boasts a very pleasant smell, making it easily worn with, or without another cover scent.

Alter Ego for Women contains an interesting mix of pheromone compounds, specifically Androstenol (2 Mg’s),Androsterone (1.5 Mg’s), and what is normally viewed as a male pheromone compound, Androstenone (1 Mg). Let me briefly rehash what these pheromone compounds are known to do, or rather induce from others for those unaware.
